ARTIST statement

As a mixed media/textile artist, I embark on a journey that transcends traditional artistic boundaries, stitching together threads of experience, identity, and feminism to create emotional narratives. My work serves as a celebration of strength and resilience.

In a world where women’s voices have often been marginalized or silenced, my art serves as a platform for expression and empowerment. I explore a myriad of techniques, from ancient stitching techniques to experimental fiber manipulation, pushing the boundaries of what used to be defined as chore with a feminist perspective. Through the interplay of colors, textures, and patterns, I challenge societal norms and invite the observer to question preconceived notions about femininity and strength, sparking conversations about the complex threads that bind women together.

Ultimately, my work is an invitation to embrace the empowering and transformative power of women, encouraging viewers to find their own threads of connection within the art. In every piece, I aim to capture not just a moment but a timeless essence—a testament to the enduring artistry of women’s experiences and strength.
